Xi Jinping: Negotiations are Impossible under Unilateral Coercion

China’s government on Thursday denied President Xi Jinping’s promise of market-opening measures this week was aimed at settling a tariff dispute with Washington and said negotiations are impossible under “unilateral coercion” by the United States. A commerce ministry spokesman, Gao Feng, complained U.S. President Donald Trump’s government has “shown no sincerity,” according to the official Xinhua News Agency. Gao said the two sides have yet to start negotiations. Gao repeated complaints that Trump acted improperly when he responded to Beijing’s protest over his plan to raise tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese goods by saying he might add another $100 billion of imports to the list. “Under unilateral coercion, it is impossible for the Chinese side to conduct any negotiations,” Gao was paraphrased as saying.

Dylan Roof: Last Rhodesian.

Dylann Storm Roof (born April 3, 1994) is an American white supremacist, domestic terrorist and mass murderer convicted in December 2016 for perpetrating the Charleston church shooting on June 17, 2015. During a prayer service at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Roof killed nine people, all African Americans, including senior pastor and state senator Clementa C. Pinckney, and injured one other person. After several people identified Roof as the main suspect, he became the center of a manhunt that ended the morning after the shooting with his arrest in Shelby, North Carolina. He later confessed that he committed the shooting in hopes of igniting a race war. Three days after the shooting, a website titled The Last Rhodesian was discovered and later confirmed by officials to be owned by Roof. The website contained photos of Roof posing with symbols of white supremacy and neo-Nazism, along with a manifesto in which he outlined his views toward blacks, among other peoples. He also claimed in the manifesto to have developed his white supremacist views after reading about the 2012 shooting of Trayvon Martin and black-on-white crime. – Wikipedia: Dylan Roof.

Dylann Roof: Letter to Christian Picciolini: Beating a dead horse.

You’ve really cashed in, haven’t you? I know you want to be, but you really should be ashamed of yourself. I hope that you know that you 100 times worse than the jews you’ve surrounded yourself with. You couldn’t handle the mental that comes along with white nationalism, so you took the easy way out. But what is so disgusting about you is that rather than just leave white nationalism behind, you decided to devote your time to undermining your own race. Now you are traveling around Eastern Europe looking for white racial awareness wherever you can find it, because you know there is no racism from whites for you to fight here. I can only imagine the mental hoops you have to jump through, the cognitive dissonance that you must employ on a daily basis.

If you book is meant to be an argument against racism or “hate”, you’ve failed. But that’s no your fault because no logical arguments exist and none of them held up to even a small amount of critical thinking. But I’m sure you haven’t been doing too much that lately. Do you realize that the only argument you have, the only point you make, is that it is wrong to go around with so much hate in your heart? And do you realize that this is based solely on emotion, not facts? I mean really what is the point of your book? If we took out the last few chapters, it would actually the case for white nationalism, not against it. I wont’ even go into your allegedly blaming yourself for your brothers death or comments on the leftist protestors, which are so ridiculous that I literally guffawed.

One of the unforgivable sins is to know the truth and then deny it. I’m unable to understand how you are able to live with yourself. Have fun beating a dead horse.

Last Rhodesian: Ian Smith

What a time it was? So few friends to turn to. What a time it was, when all we did seemed wrong. We’d broken all our plans, and the battle plans were drawn.  1965 was the year of UDI. Who’d have thought the country would survive or stay alive. The UN made us outcasts, and the British said we couldn’t last. The country would fall when the oil did not arrive.

Family Planning: IUD: Intra-Uterine Device

An intrauterine device (IUD), also known as intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD or ICD) or coil,[2] is a small, often T-shaped birth control device that is inserted into a woman’s uterus to prevent pregnancy. IUDs are one form of long-acting reversible birth control (LARC).[3] Among birth control methods, IUDs, along with contraceptive implants, result in the greatest satisfaction among users.[4] One study found that female family planning providers choose LARC methods more often (41.7%) than the general public (12.1%). – Wikipedia: IUD.

What do American, European and South African ‘right wing white racialists’ really want?

So when you hand South African, American and European white supremacists; the opportunity to honourably, ethically, legally and humanely rid the world of 90% of non-europeans [according to their white supremacist beliefs about blacks ‘chimping out’, lacking sexual impulse control, etc]; and their response is: Thanks, but no thanks, what is going on?

Amazing Grace: Waving

What I would ask of you is to open yourself fully to one who does not know how to separate your happiness from his own. – William Pitt in a letter to William Wilberforce.

Amazing Grace: Carriage Drivers beating a black horse.

William Wilberforce was a leading figure in the political campaign to abolish the slave trade in Britain in the late-18th and early-19th centuries.
Imperialism: “Great Britain was the mightiest empire on Earth and its empire was built on the backs of slaves,” says a title card at the beginning of Amazing Grace. Good to see someone acknowledge that. (Anyone interested in the links between Britain and slavery is advised to explore the excellent Legacies of British Slave-Ownershipproject created by University College London.) Stopping on a blasted heath, an earnest gentleman (Ioan Gruffudd) stops two carriage drivers who are beating a black horse. Regrettably, this may be symbolic. “I’ve seen him speak in London!” says one expositionally, indicating the earnest gentleman. “That’s William Wilberforce!” The horse expires, possibly from despair.
Sorrow: The screenplay is overwhelmed by exposition. “Your last bill was defeated because four of your loyal supporters took free tickets to a comic opera rather than stay to vote,” Henry Thornton tells Wilberforce, who, one would imagine, had already noticed that. – The Guardian: Is Amazing Grace’s take on the slave trade historically accurate?.

On a mountain in the night / we lie in the darkness and wait / In the mud and blood, I lie cold, / grain bag and rain cling to me. | And my house and my farm burned to ashes / so that they could catch us / But those flames and that fire / burn now deep, deep within me. | De la Rey, De la Rey, will you come to lead the Boers? / De la Rey, De la Rey /  General, General, united we’ll fall in around you / General De la Rey |  Over the Khakis (Brits) that laugh / — [just] a handful of us against their great forces — / With the cliffs to our backs, / they think it’s all over [for us] |  But the heart of the Boer lies deeper and wider, / that they’ll still find [out] / On a horse he comes, / the Lion of the West Transvaal | De la Rey, De la Rey, will you come to lead the Boers? / De la Rey, De la Rey / General, General, united we’ll fall in around you / General De la Rey | Because my wife and my child, / lie in a Hell-camp* and perish / And the Khakis’ blood[marrow of life] ** is poured over / a nation that will rise up again | De la Rey, De la Rey, will you come to lead the Boers? / De la Rey, De la Rey / General, General, united we’ll fall in around you / General De la Rey | De la Rey, De la Rey, will you come for the Boers? / [We’re ready …]

The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil

When Cuba lost access to Soviet oil in the early 1990s, the country faced an immediate crisis – feeding the population – and an ongoing challenge: how to create a new low-energy society. This film tells the story of the Cuban people’s hardship, ingenuity, and triumph over sudden adversity – through cooperation, conservation, and community.

Havana, Cuba — At the Organipónico de Alamar, a neighborhood agriculture project, a workers’ collective runs a large urban farm, a produce market and a restaurant. Hand tools and human labor replace oil-driven machinery. Worm cultivation and composting create productive soil. Drip irrigation conserves water, and the diverse, multi-hued produce provides the community with a rainbow of healthy foods.
